Progress
Progression
XP and levels, shards and upgrades, and rating.
#Your account
Progression lives on your account: sign in to keep it. As a guest you can play Vs bots; your medals last for the session. Ownership of a Chog never moves XP or currency.
#XP and levels
Each level needs 50 XP more than the last: 100 XP from level 1 to 2, then 150, 200 and so on, up to level 99.
| Level | XP needed |
|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | 100 XP |
| 2 to 3 | 150 XP |
| 3 to 4 | 200 XP |
| 4 to 5 | 250 XP |
| 5 to 6 | 300 XP |
| 6 to 7 | 350 XP |
#Shards and upgrades
Shards are earned by playing and spent on upgrades. The same upgrades are open to every player; nothing is sold for money.
| Upgrade | Effect | Ranks | Cost per rank (shards) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitality | +3% health per rank | 8 | 10, 40, 70, 100, 140, 180, 230, 290 |
| Plating | +2 armour per rank | 8 | 10, 40, 70, 100, 140, 180, 230, 290 |
| Firepower | +1% weapon damage per rank | 3 | 150, 250, 350 |
| Focus | -5% ability cooldown per rank | 4 | 30, 60, 110, 180 |
#Rating
Online matches of at least 20 s outside private rooms move your rating, also after the daily reward cap (a quit counts as a loss): it starts at 1000 and changes Elo-style (K = 24) on your side's average against the other side's. A Chog tier counts as slightly stronger when the change is worked out (common +30, uncommon +50, rare +75, epic +95, 1:1 +120), so beating a weaker profile earns less.
#What is unlocked
All five locations, all seven operators and every mode except 5v5 are open from the start. There are no loot boxes or season passes. Medals record what you have done; they do not unlock gear.
